- American Plastic
Equipment, Inc. owns all intellectual property rights associated with
the products shown, however, American Plastic does not own the rights
to third party characters, rights and licenses.
An example would be if American Plastic offers the molds to manufacture
a Mickey Mouse toy. It is understood that American Plastic owns the
molds and the rights to the product made from the molds, but does not
own the rights to the character. In this case, the Walt Disney Company
is the owner of the character rights to Mickey Mouse. Therefore, American
Plastic guarantees the ownership to the tooling and the original product
and design rights to the product made from said tooling. It is the Licensee’s
responsibility to obtain the outside third party patent, copyright,
trademark, trade dress, character, or other rights. This is reviewed
on an individual product-by-product basis.
